I am addicted to gay male erotica books? Help Please? I don't know how to stop reading these books they make me so horney and I read them at work. I have a partner of 4 years and am vary much in love with. He does not know about me reading these books. I get off a couple time a day at work reading them. Then don't feel like making love when I get home. Please help? |
As someone who works for an erotic book publisher, first, let me say 'thank you'.
It's only an addiction if it interferes with your normal functioning. Reading them during your lunch break isn't wrong, but if you're reading them while you're supposed to be working, is. The same goes for your relationship - is it affecting your sexual relationship with your partner?
Masturbating at work to erotica is jeopardizing your job. Leave the books at home, and budget how much time you read them. Only allow yourself a certain limited length of time for them, and then spend the rest of the time focusing on your partner and your responsibilities. Good luck. |

| Hollinghurst. I think the first name is Allan. |
Main stream fiction with a little homo erotica? Anyone knows any main stream novels, stories with some male homo erotica peppered in the otherwise non sexual non gay novels? I am not looking for gay novels, for sure. I am looking at pop novels that possibly even on the NYT best seller list, that has some male violence male sex references. |
The first thing that comes into my mind is "Fight Club" by Chuck Palahniuk.
ETA: Lol, that's obviously the go-to homo erotic book. |
Please recommend a good gay (M4M) romance novel NOT written by a woman...? Looking for suggestions for good reading... just a feel good gay male romance... not erotica, but just a "sprinkling" of sex here and there...
Also, so many M4M novels are written by women.... why is that? No offense, but it turns me off. |
I've only found one that I really like, but I'm a lesbian, so I prefer F4F novels.
Anyway, look into Leave Myself Behind by Bart Yates. It has a really good story, though sometimes it gets sort of "soap operaish" with some of it's sub stories. I liked this book. :)
If you're into more Harlaquin for men type books look into anything by Gordon Merick. It's like male porn in a novel...it's not my taste, but you may like it.
As for your question about M4M novels by women, there is a subculture (especially in fan fiction) of women who love to write M4M (in fan fiction it's called slash.) I don't really know why either, but there are a lot of them. |
Can you recommedend any books / movies about gay (male) relationships? NOT porn or erotica |
One of my all time favourites is Maurice by E. M. Forster. You may have seen the movie (with a young Hugh Grant in it). The movie is again one of my all time favourites!!!!
Personally, I think the movie adaptation of Maurice is the best film about homosexual love that has ever been made. |
Photographer Fees for online photosite...? I have just been asked to join the gay male erotica site, latinboyz.com as a photographer. There is no contract, rather they pay for the job. What is the best price I should charge for my services? The models get $500+ depending on how "hot" they are. I was thinking of charging the same amount. Is that too high or too little? I would send them a shoot of about 300-500 hi-res pics and a digital video of about 4-5 mins.
I know that doing erotica is kind of a "dirty profession", but this site makes it tasteful and not all that dirty, as any one who has seen it will tell you. |
You need an agreement for each shoot. Limit the number of images they can use (20-40 is usual) and also limit the amount of time they have rights to use your images.
Example .. one time rights to use 40 images on website www.hotguys.com for x number of months. Additional rights may be negotiated. No rights are granted for promoting the website.
Be sure you have your copyright embedded in each image (EXIF or XMP file). If you don't have Photoshop CS2 or better, it is time to get it.
Charge $350 for the shoot and $45 per image for a three month run, no other rights granted.
Feel free to email me.
Start there and then negotiate.
Be sure to get a sample model release from the website and then us it as a basis for making one for your use with your name on it. You may want to do other shoots with these models for other websites for use after the first photos have made their run. |
Should I keep it a deep, dark secret? I'm a woman mostly attracted to men, and I like gay male erotica. There's something about two men getting off together that turns me on. Should I keep this a secret from the guys I date, like boyfriends? |
| Well I have a friend that I met while living in Las Vegas, she moved away I moved away and contacted her online, after her and I talked online she told me she enjoys the idea of watching 2 guys doing each other,, I never would have thought, but then on other hand if I had a friend around I trust it wouldnt bother me at all for her to watch, so, maybe the guys you date will enjoy you watching them with another guy,, never know till you ask, |
Did I turn into a lesbian because of what I did? Well, this is kind of embarrassing but I have to ask.
When I was about 11-12, I started to read 'erotic' stories. I started out reading heterosexual stories, then when I found out about the lesbian category, I knew I was more.. 'fascinated' by it. So since then, I've only ever gotten off on lesbian erotica. I never watched pornography at that time, just that it was in written format.
I remember that I've always been interested in girls.. you know, in that book/movie (non-erotic) I was always drawn to that girl. I never realized that up until now.
I feel guilty. Did I turn into a lesbian because I read lesbian erotica when I was young? (I'm 16 now). I am turned off by heterosexual/gay male erotica/p*rnography - I did try it, but it didn't turn me on. |
Although some pundits may disagree, the simple answer is "no".
Would you become a murderer if you had a passion for reading murder mysteries?
It is debatable how much the repeated exposure to any source of media can influence the shaping of one's intellect and/or morals, but I think that it is generally believed that exposure to any stimuli , whether "positive" or "negative", even upon repeated exposure, has little, if any, potential for shaping the mental outlook and feelings of an average person who is non-pathological.
If he is however, "negative" stimuli, instead of being processed via our filters of sanity, will instead possibly be viewed and be misconstrued for the convenience of 'fitting into' and/or reinforcing the inflicted's pathology.
(e.g., A person who is mentally disturbed may be inspired to commit a crime by reading a murder mystery.)
Being gay and/or lesbian is not an illness and is certainly not considered a pathology by all psychiatrists of any repute living today.
Therefore, in short, you have absolutely nothing at all to worry about.
Conversely, gays of course can't be made straight as well, simply by reading heterosexual erotic literature.
Sigh. If it were only that easy! |
Any good gay fiction that you can recommend? I am looking to read more gay fiction (male based) and was wondering if any of my LGBT had any ideas, as well as why you would recommend this?
The only limitation I ask is that every single person in the book is not an adonis, especially the main character.
I just read "Someone is Watching" and it was a decent book, but almost every page made reference to well built muscles. And it wasn't even erotica.
I did also just read "Almost Like Being in Love" which was one of the better gay fiction novels I have read in a long time.
Thank you in advance for your ideas!!!! |
